eWaste Recycling Drive

My name is Jackson Hallman. I am a fourth grader at St. Mary’s School. Miss Hanson assigned the fourth grade a research project this year. Our theme for the research project is Think Green. I have decided to do my project on E-Waste. As I began looking up information for my project I discovered many things.
Did you know that more than twenty million metric tons of e-waste are disposed of around the world each year? Much of our e-waste is not disposed of properly. It may end up in landfills or in other areas where it can cause real damage to our environment. More than 140 million cell phones ended up in landfills in 2012. We must reduce the amount of e-waste that ends up in landfills to help our planet.
So, to go along with my project, I have decided to hold an e-recycle drive.  I am inviting and asking you for help.  I have made a recycling box and placed it at St. Mary’s. See below for a flier listing what items we accept. Plus an added bonus, this company will pay St. Mary’s for our e-waste at no cost to us.  So it’s a win win!  Also, if you have a business that you would like to place a box at please email me at and I will make one and deliver it there.
Please help me make this project/fundraiser a success.
Together we can make a difference.
