In honor of the Feast day of St. Nicholas, our students had a special visitor to remind them of the importance of helping those in need during this holiday season, as well as throughout the entire year.

St. Mary’s students celebrated the season of Thanksgiving with their annual food drive. Students collected non-perishable food and personal items through the first two weeks of November. On Thursday, November 21st all items were donated to the Stevens County Food Shelf.

The SMS playground has seen a few changes this fall. In late October staff were able to install a gaga ball pit. The pit was a grant funded purchase through the Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP). With the help of a CSCOE grant the school…

Our 4th graders have been busy filling care packages! They continue to support the military members they adopted as 3rd graders who are still deployed.

Our 1st grade class has been hard at work. This week the class wrote notes for Cards of Hope. It’s a program that mails encouraging notes and birthday cards to kids in the foster care system.

On Thursday, October 10th the members of the Morris Area Lions visited St. Mary’s School and the Cherry Street Book Fair. They generously donated books to the 2nd grade classroom.
